1、TemplateforSubmissionofManuscriptstoAmericanChemicalSocietyJournalsWord2011,ColumnWideAbstractVersionThistemplateisaguidetobeusedtopreparemanuscriptsforsubmission.PleaseconsulttheInstructionstoAuthorsorarecentissueofthejournalfordetailedguidelinesandproceduresforsubmission.Thistemplateisintendedtobe

2、nefittotheauthorinthattheentiremanuscript(text,tables,andgraphics)maybesubmittedinonefile.Insertinggraphicsandtablesclosetothepointatwhichtheyarediscussedinthetextofthemanuscriptcanalsobeabenefitforthereviewer.Whenyousubmitamanuscriptusingthistemplate,youwillnotactuallyseethepageformattingthatappear

3、sintheprintedjournal.Thiswilloccuraspartoftheeditorialproductionprocess.Abbreviatedinstructionsforusingthetemplatefollow.Consultthedocumentationforyourspecificapplicationandversionformoreinformation.Additionalinstructionscanbefoundinthereadmefileatthewebpagewhereyoudownloadedthistemplate.Usingthetem

4、plateInACSpublicationstherearemanydifferentcomponentsofamanuscript(i.e.,title,abstract,maintext,figurecaptions,etc.)thatarcrepresentedinthetemplate.SeetheGuide,Notes,Notice,orInstructionsforAuthorsonthejoumal,shomepagetodeterminewhichpartsshouldbeincludedforthemanuscriptthatyouarepreparing1. Iftypin

5、gyourmanuscriptdirectlyintothetemplate,select(highlight)thetextofthetemplatethatyouwanttoreplaceandbegintypingyourmanuscript(i.c.,selecttheTitlesectionfortypinginyourtitle).2. IfyouhavealreadypreparedyourdocumentinaWordfile,youwillneedtoattachthetemplatetoyourworkingdocumentinordertoapplytheWordStyl

6、etags.Furtherinstructionscanbefoundinthereadmefileatthewebpagewhereyoudownloadedthistemplate.a. GototheWordStylelistontheformattingtoolbarandyouwillseealltheWordStylesfromthetemplatethathasnowbeenimportedintothecurrentdocument.AStylestoolbarhasbeengeneratedthatwilldisplaythedifferentStylesforyoutoch
