12、nanenvironmentthatcloselymimicstheoperationalscenario.Thisrealisticevaluationonadatasetof116subjectssflowsthatthesystemperfonnancedegradesinoutdoorscenariosbuthymultimodalscorefusiontheperformanceisenhancedby20%.Wealsofindthatmaxrulefusionperformsbetterthansumrulefusiononthisdataset.Moreinterestingl

13、y,weseethatbyusingmultiplesamplesoftheSalnebiometricmodality,theperformanceofaunimodalsystemcanapproachthatofamultimodalsystem.3.
