9、了很强的影响/动词词组,介词和介词短语的用法,1.介词的特点：1）介词不能独立使用，在介词后面必须带有宾语。其宾语形式主要是名词或者相当于名词的成分。如：代词、动名词或名词性从句等。如：He lives near the school.他住在学校附近。What do you know about him?关于他，你都知道什么？I am keen on collecting stamps.我喜欢集邮。2）置于介词前面的词主要有动词、名词和形容词动词+介词如：agree with同意 arrive at 到达 come from来自形容词+介词如：absorbed in 专心于 harmful t

10、o有害的 angry with对感到恼火名词+介词because of 因为 dependence on 依靠 hundreds of 数以百计的3）介词不能独立在英语句子中充当成分，但是可以和介词宾语一起在句子中充当主语、定语、状语和补足语。如：From the library to the teaching building is a five minutes walk.从图书馆到教学楼要走5分钟。（介词短语作主语）She is a woman of strong character.她是个性格坚强的女人。（作定语）He woke up and found himself in hospi

11、tal.他醒来发现自己在医院里。（宾补）We will meet at the station.我们在火车站碰面。（状语）I was at my grandmas yesterday.昨天我在奶奶家。（作表语）,2容易混淆的介词区分1）at,on 和in他们都有“在”的意思。区别如下：a)表示时间时，at 表示时间某一点。如：at six 在六点 at the moment在那时on 表示特定的日子，如：on Sunday在星期天 on May Day 在五一节in 表示一段时间，如：in the afternoon在下午 in 2005在2005年b)表示地点时，at 表示小地方，如：at

12、home在家 at the office在办公室 on表示特定的地方，如：on the spot在现场 on the playground在操场 in 表示大地方，如：in Beijing 在北京 in China在中国c)表示空间位置时，at表示在旁边，如：at the door 在门边 on 表示在表面，如：on the table在桌子上 in 表示在里面，如：in the room在房间里,2）above,on 和over他们都有“在之上”的意思，区别在于：on 表示接触在表面上。如：a fly on the ceiling在天花板上的一只苍蝇over表示不仅有接触，还有覆盖的含义。如

13、：Mom put the rug over me when I was asleep.我睡着的时候，妈妈在我身上盖了一块小毛毯。over指垂直的上方。如：There is a bridge over the river.河上有一座桥。above表示上下方位关系，事物表面不接触，也不是垂直的。如：The sun rose above the horizon.太阳在地平线上升起。3）below,under和beneath都有“在之下”的意思。区别如下：under 表示接触或不接触的垂直的下方。如：under the book 在书的下面（垂直的接触）under the umbrella在伞下（垂直

14、、不接触）below表示不垂直不接触的下方。如：below the window在窗户下（不垂直，不接触）beneath多用于抽象意义。如:beneath his intelligence不如他的智力,4）beside和besidesbeside表示“在旁边”besides表示“除之外还”如：He stood beside the tree.他站在那棵树旁。There are six girls besides Mary in the team.队里除玛丽外还有六个女孩。5）except,except for,apart from,besidesexcept for表示“除之外”。常放在句首。

15、含有与句子所描述的事实相反的细节和特点的意思。如：Except for several grammatical mistakes,his paper is excellent.他的论文除了几个语法错误之外非常好。apart from=except for必须放在句首。Apart from(except for)his handwriting,the article is good.除了书写这篇文章很好。except“除之外”,表示从整体中除去，不能放在句首。如：None of us could swim except him.我们中除了他都不会游泳。besides表示“除之外还”。如：What

16、 else are you going to do besides washing clothes?除了洗衣服外你还准备干什么？,6）after,behind表示空间位置时，两个词的意思都是“在的后面”。after 用于动态，意思是“在之后，跟随”如：Go after him.跟他走。behind用于静态，意思是“在的后面”如：He sat behind me.他坐在我后面。7）as,likelike作介词是“像,如”的意思。如：The bag doesnt look like mine.这个包看起来不像我的。as作介词，表示“作为某种身份”。如：As a teacher,he is alwa

17、ys patient with his students.作为一名教师，他总是对学生很耐心。8)since,forsince+时间点，表示“从那一时刻起”事件开始发生，它通常要与现在完成时或过去完成时连用。如：I have not seen him since two years ago.自从两年前我就没有见过他。for+时间段，表示动作延续到说话的那一时刻。通常也和完成时连用。如：I have lived there for a year.我在那已经住了一年了。,巩固练习：1.We returned to our motherland _.A.last week B.on last week
