1、RECONE PROCEDURE FOR CONE LOUDSPEAKERS,MODELS,This instructions is prepared for the following models:,TOOLS AND SUPPLIES,TOOLS AND SUPPLIES REQUIREDSoldering iron,solder,glue,plastic spacer,razor knife,tweezers,masking tape,epoxy glue(NOT SUPPLIED),cloth rags,methyl ethyl ketone(MEK),cotton swabs,an

2、d,if possible,audio oscillator and amplifier.MATERIALS SUPPLIEDTube of Beyma glue(blue color),Latex(white color),Plastic spacer,Moving parts,gaskets,dust cap.,PREPARATION,Using razor knife,remove old cone-coil assembly,and clean with MEK the surfaces,where suspension and surround will mount,of old p

3、arts and glue.,PREPARATION,Unsolder the old voice coil leads from terminals.,PREPARATION,Using razor knife,remove old cone-coil assembly,and clean with MEK the surfaces,where suspension and surround will mount,of old parts and glue.,PREPARATION,Fold a piece of masking tape lengthwise around a piece

4、of cardboard(70 mm x 25 mm x 1 mm),with adhesive side exposed and insert it in the air gap and rotate.Repeat this until tape remains clean when withdrawn.Check gap with magnifying light.Clean top plate and magnet of any debris.,INSTALLATION,Using the tube of Beyma glue supplied,apply a bead of glue

5、on frame surfaces where suspension and surround will mount,and also over the spider and surround.Wait for 3 minutes.,INSTALLATION,Insert the plastic spacer into the new voice coil assembly,allowing overhang 10-12 mm below bottom of voice coil.Slide spacer tube over the pole piece and down into gap,m

6、aking sure tinsel leads on assembly are aligned properly with terminals on frame.Carefully guide voice coil assembly down spacer onto frame and into proper position.,Take a small rag dipped in MEK and use it to press down on spider where it joins the frame.Work back and forth to even out spider and

7、secure bond on frame.Repeat for surround,working out bumps.,INSTALLATION,Spread white glue over the surround using a brush,be careful not to put white glue over the gasket bed.Lay a bead of glue from the Beyma tube on gasket area.Wait for 5 minutes and place gasket segments on frame in proper positi

8、on.The white glue can be put at the end of the repair(easier,but takes longer time),INSTALLATION,Lay a bead of glue from the Beyma tube on gasket area.Wait for 5 minutes and place gasket segments on frame in proper position.Rotate down the device and allow glue 7-8 hours to dry,INSTALLATION,Use twee

9、zers to guide tinsel leads through solder lugs.Allow enough slack for full cone excursion,but do not allow leads to touch.Solder leads to terminals and trim excess.,INSTALLATION,Once pletely dry,remove plastic spacer and proceed to fix the dust cap.Apply a bead of glue(epoxi glue)on the junction on the dust cap and cone,or in the flange of the dust cap,and allow drying at least 24 hours before testing the loudspeaker with audio oscillator at moderate power.Use the fatigue cd provided to simulate the first 30 days of work.,
