1、Writing skills and samples,邀请信Letter of Invitation Writing Skills 邀请信是邀请亲朋好友或知名人士、专家等参加某项活动时所发的约请性书信。在国际交往以及日常的各种社交活动中，这类书信使用广泛。邀请信分为两种：一种是正规的格式(formal correspondence)，也叫做请柬;一种是非正规格式(informal correspondence)，就是一般的邀请信。,请柬通常有固定的格式，应注意文字排列精心设计，一般以一个或两个完整的意群为一行。一般用第三人称形式写作。请帖有三种格式：1.X invites you to a r

2、eception(party,etc.)at(place)on(date)at(time).2.You are warmly(cordially)invited to attend a reception(party,etc.)at(place)on(date)at(time).3.X requests the pleasure of your company(the company of Mr.Y)at a reception(dinner,etc.)at(place)on(date)at(time).,在这三种格式中，最后一种比较正式，其他两种比较随便。除了上述基本内容外，在请柬右下角一般

3、还附有其他说明：一种是写R.S.V.P.（请答复），再写电话号码；或写For Regrets Only,意思是：如不能参加，请回话（反过来说，如能参加可不必答复）。一种是注明需要穿哪类服装，如果写Dress Informal,Dress Optional，意思是衣着随便；一般场合可不加注，或注Lounge Suit/Day dress；正式场合注Black tie.邀请信作为信的一种形式可参照一般书信的格式去写。但要掌握好下列几点：1)说明邀请对方参加什么活动、邀请的原因是什么。2)将活动安排的细节及注意事项告诉对方。诸如时间、地点、参加人员、人数，做些什么样的准备及所穿的服饰等。3)为了方便
