2、enting injuries to themselves and others.All operating exposures can be safeguarded.Training employees to work safely is essential.Prevention of personal injuries is good business,承包商职责,The contractor is fully responsible that his supervisors and workers strictly abide by all applicable safety rules

3、 and regulations.Any contract worker who violates safety rules and regulations is liable to instant dismissal or removal from Grace premise.The contractor shall be the only party responsible for any accident resulting from neglecting and/or infringing safety rules and regulations.,Safety Awareness,A

4、s you approach each activity or situation,use the following safety cycle to help you evaluate the potential risk of your task.The safety cycle will help you recognize and eliminate unsafe acts and unsafe conditions that could occur as you do your job.DECIDEMake safety a top priority STOPGive your fu

6、e than the few seconds it takes to use the safety cycle.Stop Unsafe ActsExpect the UnexpectedPrevent Injuries,Security,All contractors and their workers shall apply for appropriate gate passes before entering Grace.Grace reserves the right to reject any such applications for security reasons.Gate pa

7、sses must be worn conspicuously by contractors in Grace at all the time,General Safety,Smoking Smoking is only allowed at the designated smoking areas.Photograph TakingPhotograph taking of any kind is not allowed in Grace without prior authorisation from the second line supervisors.All cameras must

8、be deposited at security guard house.If photograph taking is authorised by Grace,the photographer must not take any photograph beyond the area approved.Light Hot Work Permit is required if photograph is taken in the process area.TrafficSpeed limit:15 km/hours.Park you vehicle at designated parking a

9、rea.,Personal Protective Equipment(PPE),Minimum PPEs at Process Areas and Tank Farm:Safety shoes,safety glasses and hard hats Other PPEsEar protector is applicable at any areas where noise level is above 85 dB(A)Face shield shall be used when transferring corrosive chemicals or doing grinding job.We

10、lding helmet shall be worn when a contractor perform welding work.Proper respirator shall be used when contractor are exposed to respiratory hazards such as dusts or chemical vapors.Fall protection shall be used when contractors work at height of 1.2 meters or above without proper handhold or footho

11、ld.Proper safety gloves shall be used when handling chemicals,abrasion hazards,electrical hazardsOthers as required on the job basis All PPEs shall be in good conditions,Incident Reporting,It is the Grace policy to report all incidents at Grace premises.Those incidents includes:Loss time incidents/r

12、ecordable incidentsFirst aid casesEnvironmental incident(any chemical release or spills)Fire incidentNear missAny other incidents result in property loss of the facility.All incidents shall be reported to Grace Plant Manager.Proper incident investigation shall be followed up.,Emergency Response,An e

13、mergency alarm(sounding of an alarm in the building/plant)and PA system are used for all emergencies:fire,medical or environmentalAll personnel must be prepared to respond properly in evacuation situations at the site.When You Discover an Emergency such as a fire,medical,or environmental incident oc

14、curs in your building or area,you must:If you are trained and you are not in danger,put out fire immediatelyReport to your superior immediatelyActivate alarming device(break glass)Call the Site Incident Commander(if you dont know,call security)Alert all personnel in the areaEvacuate the area,Emergen

15、cy Response,When You Hear an Emergency Alarm Secure equipment per local rules(if possible)Leave area as specifiedReport to the designated assembly point as quickly as possible in accordance with the sites Emergency Plan.Assembly PointsOutside of front gateNext to back gateGrace employee who sponsors

16、 the contractor is responsible for head counting for the contractors.,PERMITS&LOCKOUT/TAGOUT,Contractors must strictly abide by Grace Work Permit System for all construction,maintenance and repair work in Grace to ensure safety of all personnel,prevent the occurrence of fire or accident,and protect

17、plant and process equipment.All contractors must obtain a proper work permit/s prior to the starting of their job.A proper work plan shall be submitted when applying a Work Permit,if necessary.All contractors must ensure that their staff and workers,understand and comply with the Permits system and

18、all related Grace procedures and guidelines to safeguard workers occupational safety and health.If a contractor goes beyond the work scope described in the Work Permit,he need re-apply a work permit.All contractors must strictly follow Grace Lockout/Tagout procedures.Other important permits include

19、hot work permit and confined space entry permitViolation of Permits&Lockout/Tagout Procedures is serious offence.,Housekeeping,Housekeeping is an indication of the level of safety awareness within a facility.Usually,if employees within a facility take enough pride in their work to keep the facility

20、clean,the employees also focus on unsafe actions.Here are some guidelines:Work areas need must be free from trash and debrisWalking surfaces must be free from tripping,slipping and stumbling hazardsWork and equipment storage areas must be free from disorderAisles must be marked and kept clearStairwe

21、lls must be well-lighted and should be clean,free of any extraneous items and never used for storage of any kindUse signs to warn of hazardsHousekeeping is part of your job since it is a key component of safe workplace.Each employee has the responsibility to leave their jobsite in a clean,orderly an

22、d safe conditionContractors,Hazard Communication,A material safety data sheet(MSDS)containing the proper hazard communications data will be kept for each substance manufactured or purchased by GRACE.The information normally provided includes:Any potential health hazard associated with the use or mis

23、use of the substance.Any precautions necessary for use,handling and storage of chemicals.Emergency procedures for spills,fire,and first aid.No Grace product can be shipped to your clients or any other Grace locations without a MSDS.Contact AP EHS Department to obtain proper MSDS.GRACEs common method of communicating the hazards associated with the chemical is the HMIS(Hazardous Materials Information System).Below is an example.If a contractor will handle chemical or will be potentially affected by chemicals around,necessary training or briefing is required.,Hazard Communication,
