9、grams that manages the resources on the network.,Internet 的起源(1),Internet自1960年代即開始發展，一開始是源於當時處於冷戰時期，美國國防部為防軍事電腦過於集中，只要一顆炸彈就可以毀了全部的電腦系統起見，他們把電腦散佈在相隔很遠的地方，而電腦和電腦之間的溝通，是將訊息分割成封包的方式來傳遞。,Internet 的起源(2),因此，美國國防部為了確保傳輸的完整性、相容性及安全性，而進行了一項當時不為人知的實驗性計畫當時他們架構了ARPANet（Advanced Research Project Agency Network）

13、）即所謂全球網域格式，同時也設計開發了一個瀏覽器（browser）名為Mosaic，專門用來看WWW的格式，至此正式打開了Internet的神秘之門，開啟了Internet的新紀元。我們可以說Internet提供了一個網路的環境，而WWW則提供了一個作業平台，而Internet也就是因為有了WWW 這個友善的作業介面而得以發揚光大，造成今日的風潮。,WWW,它結合了下列三大技術：一、超文字傳輸協定（Hypertext Transfer Protocol），簡稱HTTP。二、超文字描述語言（Hypertext Markup Language）簡稱HTML。三、全球資訊定位器（Universal

14、Resource Locator），簡稱URL。透過這三大技術可以將文字（Text）、聲音（Audio）、圖形（Picture）、動畫（Arimation）、影像（Video）等原本各屬不同通訊協定的媒體，整合在一起同時顯現（即多媒體），使得網際網路的發展向前邁進了一大步。,網際網路的應用,網際網路的應用，初期是以促進學術交流及研究發展為目的，因此只開放給學術研究單位使用。1992年美國政府有鑑於網際網路在商業上的應用潛力無窮，遂開放給一般企業及社會大眾使用。1994年我國政府由中華電信成立商業化網路HiNet，僅落後美國二年而已。,台灣的網路發展史,1990年我國教育部與國內各主要大學聯合建

15、立台灣學術網路（Taiwan Academic Network，簡稱TAnet），同年，資策會在經濟部的大力支持下，聯合國內資訊業界成立種子網路（SEEDNet）。1991年我國的學術網路與美國學術網路正式連線，世界各國的網路在這前後也紛紛相互連線，實現了地球村的理想，促使人類的資訊交流從此沒有了國界，國（網）際網路（Internet）於焉形成。,全球性的Internet 結構與規模,Open System Interconnection,Open System Interconnection(OSI)是一個根據模組化而發展的架構模式.該模式並不特定針對任何軟體或硬體.OSI定義每一層的功能,

16、但並不提供軟體或設計相關硬體.這個模型的最終目標,是為了在各廠商的通訊產品之間能夠互相作用.,第一層-實體層(Physical Layer)硬體層次,包括網路電子原件,纜線規格,連接器規格,連接的設定與維護,例如RS-232,Ethernet,Token-Ring,第二層-資料鏈結層(Data-Link Layer)負責最初步的資料編碼與封包(變成傳送框訊或封包),並加入偵錯控制,與實體層做直接的溝通,例如網路卡的驅動程式,第三層-網路層(Network Layer)對於來自資料鏈結層的封包做更精密的傳輸控制,並加入Router功能,可讓封包傳送出區域網路的範圍,形成廣域網路,此層中最著名的就

17、是TCP/IP中的IP,第四層-傳輸層(Transport Layer)做更進一步的處理,包括錯誤控制,安全性,追蹤封包,例如TCP/IP 中的TCP,第五層-會議層(Session Layer)例如FTP分段傳送,或是斷線續傳的功能,或是全雙工,半雙工之類的資料傳遞控制,就要有這一層的機制,第六層-表達層(Presentation Layer)使用者在應用層所輸入的資料,要經過表達層編碼,轉碼,甚制加密,成為網路傳上來的特殊格式以便處理;反之亦同,第七層-應用層(Application Layer)所有有關網路的軟體,都在這一層的定義內,包括WWW,FTP,E-Mail,Telnet等,都是

18、屬於這一層,Programming Example一個電子郵件的軟體的研發,只需注意表達層與應用層的規範,底下的網路傳送機制,則由其他單位提供(例如作業系統),硬體設計者也只需要注意實體層和鏈結層的細節,上面的機制自然也會與其他軟體配合,如此一來,不但分工明確,各有專精,也促成了一個沒有障礙的網路硬軟體使用配合環境,這就是OSI中標榜的開放精神.,現今Internet 上獨特的應用,絕大部分的電腦並沒有發揮它100%的效能.即使你是上網打CS,處理影像,上網找資料.而UD Agent即是一種軟體,能使我們利用電腦閒置的時間,搜尋包 圍癌細胞、並抑制其繁殖的分子,牛津大學化學系主任、國家癌症研究
