Havent I told you? 你为什么又迟到了? 难道我没有告诉过你吗? (4)表示征询对方对某人或某事的看法。如： Dont you think this is an interesting story? 你不认为这是一个有趣的

6、故事吗? 注意：在回答否定疑问句时，如果与事实相符，就用yes回答，如果与事实不符，就用no回答。但是yes通常意为“不”，no通常意为“是的”。如： Dont you like music? 难道你不喜欢音乐吗? YesI do不，我喜欢。 Cant he speak English? 难道他不会说英语吗? 一No，he cant是的，他不会。 2Murder in a Country House is a horror film directed by Cindy Clark，a new director(P81) directed by是过去分词短语作后置定语，修饰前面的film。这里的

7、direct用作及物动词，意为“导演”。过去分词作定语常含有被动意味，而现在分词作定语则含有主动意味。如： The cup broken by Tom is my brothers 那个被汤姆打碎的杯子是我弟弟的。 The boy standing behind the door is Jack 那个站在门后的男孩是杰克。 3Susan Hunter，a poet whose poems were loved by millions，died of cancer on Tuesday in London(P89) 句中的a poet whose poems were loved by mill

8、ions是主语Susan Hunter的同位语，进一步解释和说明主语。另外，在这个同位语中whose poems were 10ved by millions又是一个由关系代词whose引导的定语从句，修饰前面的poet。如： Mr Smith，our Maths teacher，is very kind but strict 史密斯先生，我们的数学老师，既和蔼又严厉。 The boy whose sister is a nurse is Our monitor 那个姐姐是一名护士的男孩是我们的班长。 一、if引导的条件状语从句 条件状语从句在复合句中表示主句动作发生的条件。if意为“如果；假

9、如”，表示在某种条件下某事很可能发生。 1if引导的条件状语从句可以位于主句之前，也可以位于主句之后。如果从句在前，从句与主句之间要用逗号隔开。如： If it does not rain tomorrow，we will go hiking 如果明天不下雨，我们就去远足。 You will get good grades if you study hard 如果你努力学习，就会取得好成绩。 2在if引导的条件状语从句中，主句中的动词常用一般将来时，从句中的动词用一般现在时。如： If you ask him，he will help you 如果你请他，他会帮你的。 They are goi

10、ng to have a picnic if they are free next Saturday 如果下周六有空，他们就去野餐。 3在if引导的条件状语从句中，主句也可含有情态动词或是祈使句，但无论主句用一般将来时、情态动词还是祈使句，从句均用一般现在时。如： If it is fine tomorrow，we can go and fly the kite 如果明天天气好，我们可以去放风筝。 Dont miss the programme if you like music 如果你喜欢音乐，不要错过这个节目。 二、unless引导的条件状语从旬 1unless意为“除非，如果不”，相当于

11、ifnot。如： You will be late unless you leave at once, 如果你不马上走，你将迟到了。 一If you do not leave at once，you will be late 2在unless引导的条件状语从句中，主句中的动词常用一般将来时，从句中的动词用一般现在时。如： Unless it rainsthe game will be played 除非下雨，否则比赛将照常进行。 3同if引导的条件状语从句一样，在unless引导的条件状语从句中，主句也可以含有情态动词或是祈使句。如： He cannot see clearly unless he wears glasses 他不戴眼镜就看不清楚。 Dont touch the machine unless the teacher allows you to 没有老师的允许，不要乱动机器。
