Pedro is funnier than Paul.3.Grammar: The Comparative Degrees of Adjectives and Adverbs(形容词和副词的比较级)(二)能
2、力目标使学生能初步了解形容词比较级别的有关知识。(三)情感目标教会学生正确评价别人,学会尊重别人,与别人友好相处。【教学重、难点】教学重点: New words, sentences and Grammar : The Comparative Degrees of Adjectives and Adverbs .比较级结构:1)主语(sb / sth)+ be +形容词比较级 + than + 2)The comparatives with “er/ier” or “more”教学难点:比较级的读音及不顾则变化形式。【教学方法】主要使用创设情景法。抓住用英语交际的机会,在交际中把注意力集中在意
3、思的表达上,必要时借助手势和表情。用漂亮的图片调动学生的感官进行听说读写的训练。 【教学手段】利用电教媒体创设真实的教学情景,使学生在真实的语境中感知英语,这样可以拓展学生学习英语和使用英语的渠道,同时也极大地提高了学生学英语的兴趣。并通过各种各样的教学活动,如:猜词意、表演对话、看课件上的图片、回答问题、讨论等形式,努力倡导学生积极参与,让学生在学习过程中不仅能建构知识,提高语言能力,而且通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作探究等方式完成任务和实现目标。【教学流程】Step 1 唱英文歌 Sing an English song : If youre happy and you know it.
4、(通过唱这首欢快的英文歌激发起学生上课的热情。)Step 2 导入新课 Make a conversation.T:I have a sister. Can you guess what she looks like and what she is like? S:She is tall. /She is thin. / She has long hair./She is easygoing./T:Lets look at our photos. (Show them on the screen.) Please talk about us.S:She is shorter than you.
5、 /She has shorter hair than you. /She is thinner than you. / (Students get information from the photos.)T:Im more outgoing than my sister.(Lead in the class subject.)(利用学生带来的照片,师生或生生用英语进行比较级的对话练习,这样既能调动学生的学习兴趣,又能简单了解学生小学时已学过的形容词比较级的掌握程度,为以下的学习做好铺垫。)Step 3 教授单词1)让学生自主学习新单词,开展竞赛活动,看谁能用最快的速度记住新单词。(这样既可
6、调动课堂气氛,又可提高求知欲望,一举两得。)2) Ask the students to describe 3 pairs of twins in the pictures in Section A. Then show some photos about famous persons on the screen. And let the students talk about their appearances, using some adjectives, such as curly /straight, tall / short, heavy / thin, funny / seriou
7、s, outgoing / quiet, smart / foolish, short hair/ long hair, beautiful / ugly, friendly / unfriendly etc. 3) Make the students match each word with the opposite and then check the answers together. (先让学生自己用形容词描述,再找出成对的反义词,这样充分利用课本资源和网络资源,进行词汇教学,词不离句,可令学生更好更主动地掌握新单词。)Step 4 找出规则Show three pictures on
8、 the screen. Get students to sum the rules of the comparative degrees of adjectives. First let them discuss in groups. Then show the rules on the screen and ask them to correct theirs and take notes. (先让学生根据所给图片及图上的英语句型,自己归纳总结语法知识点,再小组合作进一步完善,老师因势利导,这样有利于开启学生的思维,体现了以学生为中心的教学特点。)Step 5 相关练习让学生写出下面形容词
9、的比较级并分类:funny, serious, calm, wild, big, fat, outgoing, athletic, dirty, heavy, thin, tall(做这个练习的目的是使学生熟练掌握比较级的变化规则。)Step 6 听力广场1. Listen to the tape and number the pictures in 1b.2. Listen to the tape and complete the chat in 2a. Listen again and fill in chat in 2b.3. Check the answers.Step 7 小组练习A
10、sk the students to make a conversation in pairs according to the chart below. Let them make a short coversation like this: Model: A: Is Tom smarter than Sam?B: No, he isnt. But Tom is more athletic than Sam. Ss work in pairs. Then ask some pairs to act them out in class.(两人一组的对话练习加强了新知识的巩固。)Step 8 小
11、组活动Divide the class into 4 groups and then work in groups. Show them the picture and ask the questions.Get them to write the answers and then make a long coverstion. Then act it out. Who is taller? Who is shorter? Who is heavier? Who is thinner? Who is more outgoing? Who is more athletic? (小组活动既突出互动
12、合作,又体现个性化发展,有利于调动各个层面同学的学习积极性,最大限度地提高每位同学的参与意识。)Step 9 明日之星T: Suppose you are a super star in the future. What will you look like and what will you be like?S: Im better than now, of course.1.
