1、Unit 3 Look at this elephantPeriod 1一、教学目标能听懂、会读一些简单的描述性形容词；strong, beautiful, funny, big, small能掌握句型“Look at ”;能运用本课句型口头描述事物（如动物）的特征。二、教学重点及难点 重点：用形容词描述动物。 难点：理解区分 this和 that。 注意；its a monkey 和its funny的a的区别。三、教学准备单词图片、动物图片、教学挂图、教学磁带等。教学步骤Step 1 Warming up师生问候。利用动物头饰让学生感知表动物的单词，用表情、体态等表现动物的特征。T（用大象

2、的图片遮住脸）：Im Miss Elephant. Im big. Hello, boys and girls .Ss: Hello, Miss Elephant.T (换下大象图片，用猴子的图片遮住脸) ：Im Miss Monkey. (边说边乱翻东西) Im naughty . Hello, boys and girls. Ss: Hello, Miss Monkey. T (换上老虎图片) ：Who am I now?Ss: Youre a tiger. T: Yes. I m a tiger. Im strong. Hello, boys and girl. Ss: Hello, M

3、iss Tiger. T: How are you?Ss: Fine, thank you. And you?T: Im fine, too.Step 2 Presentation and drill.出示小鸟的图片。让一名学生照刚才教师的做法，扮做“小鸟”，向大家问好。T: Here is another picture. Who can come here and say “Hello” to us ?走到学生中间，指着台上的“小鸟”。T: Look at that bird. Its beautiful. Yes or no?Ss: Yes .通过语气和动作让学生理解单词“ beauti

4、ful”的含义。T: S1 , please say “ Hello” to us .2.出示课文A部分教学挂图。 T ：Where are they ? Ss : They are at the zoo . T : Lets go to the zoo and see the animals , OK? Ss: OK. T (不让学生靠近图片) ：Keep a bit far away from the animals. It s dangerous .Look at that elephant. (做手势)Is it big? Ss : Yes . T : and its legs are

T: Yes, the legs and big ,too.帮助学生回答。然后板书句型，带读。让学生们集体、分组、单个练读。用类似的方法教单词 funny , strong .Step 3 Practice游戏Quick response（快速反应）教师出示动物图片，学生快速读出单词。同时让一名学生站在台前表演动作，教师进行描述，帮助学生们不断熟悉句型“Look at that Iis ”。听课文A部分录音，跟读。让学生充当“小学生”带读。分组练习。分角色表演。Step 4 Consolidation 创设情景，自由会话。情景：星期天，几个好朋友相约去动物园游玩。大家兴趣盎

6、然地讨论着。（可分组进行） S1 : Look at that elephant .Its big . S2 : Look at that monkey . Its naughty . S3 ; Look at that tiger. Its strong. Its yellow and brown .Look at its nose. Its big . 7、。2 b 部分词组 抄 4遍 + look at 看着Period 2教学目标1、能掌握一些描述性的形容词，并能运用它们描绘事物（如动物）2、能阅读理解，并朗读课文D部分小故事并阅读理解E3、培养学生细心观察的习惯，渗透爱护动物、珍惜生命的思想。教学重点及难点重点：熟练一些常用的描述性形容词。难点：运用所学形容词对动物（事物）进行描述。教学准备动物头饰或图片、白纸一张、单词卡片、教学磁带等。（有条件的学校可利用多媒体课件制作动物动画）教学步骤Step 1 Warming up 1 师生问候。游戏 Monkeys see , monkeys do （学学做做）T: I am tall . I a

I am naughty .(课前将这些形容词板书在黑板上。游戏结束后请“小老师”带读。)Step 2 Presentation and drill 游戏Guess,guess,guess! （猜一猜）老师在黑板上画出猫身体的后面一部分。学生猜是tiger的时候补上猫的脸。S1 : Is it a dog ?待添加的隐藏文字内容3Ss : Yes, it is ./No, it isnt. 1. 出示图片tiger.T：Look at this ti

T：Its a strong tiger . 将图片tiger放在strong后，并在strong前加a。带读。T : Look at this elephant .Is it big ?Ss: Yes , its big .T : Its a big elephant.同样在big前加a，在big后贴上图片，带读。2.朗读B部分组词，小组竞赛。Step 3 Practice 1 听课文D部分录音，跟读。然后让学生用自己准备的动物头饰进行表演。2 课文D部分，阅读理解故事大意。教师解释部分生词。3 分角色表演

10、D部分小故事。4 E部分阅读STEP 4语音 q的练习， 读音，语音板书：F部分 将带有q的单词标红。T用拼读法读出单词。学生从听从说出p的语音。单个学生奖励。Game: 金耳朵。老师读单词 学生听，如果有含p的音 学生说yes,没有说no Duck , quite, duke, question, quarter, Game: 老师写单词，学生拼读 , quack, quest, quick, quid, quit,quiz挑战单词： quality, quickly, quint, QuoteStep 5 Consolidation 启发学生运用所学语言材料谈论动物。鼓励学生们大胆创设情景，自由进行会话。T : Animals are our good friends. We should love them and take good care of them. Do you like animals? Which animal do you like best?4家庭作业。 D部分读过关。单词 与上次课单词一样。形容词。
