1、NSE (Book 7) Module 1 Unit 1 The Great Wall一、教材分析:本课所使用的教材为新标准英语三年级起点第七册,课时30分钟(见图1)。使用的学生为烟台六年级学生,因此在课的设计环节中,许多素材都来自烟台,目的就是从学生所了解的信息入手。但这一册的主要语法知识都是学生已知的内容,因此本课的教学内容是对过去语法知识的复习,对于新的语言知识的学习。(图1)二、教学目标:1. 知识目标熟练掌握单词与短语:more, thousand, hundred, million, postcard, kilometer, tell me more 熟练掌握重点语句:How l
2、ong is the Great Wall?Its about six thousand seven hundred kilometers. These postcards are great. Yes, they are.2. 能力目标要求学生对于长城了解它的长度,以及北京、纽约的人口数量,在此基础之上应当了解自己所在城市的一些相关信息,并能够根据教师已提供的信息差进行,获取自己想要了解的内容。3. 情感目标激发学生热爱中国的文化遗产,以伟大的长城而骄傲,热爱北京,热爱我们的国家。三、教学重、难点:本课的重点即对于长城的了解;难点为在此基础之上了解自己所在城市的一些相关信息,能再学习的本课重
3、点句型之后,进行提问以获取自己想要了解的信息。四、教具学具:课本,单词卡片,明信片,课件,教学配套光盘。五、教学过程:Step 1 Warming up Free talk between the teacher and the students. Make the students ask teacher some questions according to the words and pictures on the screen. (见图2)And its also a competition. (在整节课中,只要学生回答对问题,老师会奖励这组学生一张拼图。)(图2)在热身环节与学生做一
4、个简单的交流,(Do you want to know me more?)引出新单词“more”,同时也是在有意识的培养学生问问题的意识。学生可能问到三个问题:Q1: Whos Mary?Q2: Do you like apples?Q3: Which school is it? / Is it your school? 借助第三个问题引到学生们的学校。Please tell me more about your school. Tell me more about (板书)Step 2 Presentation and practice1. Show some postcards of th
5、e city and guide the students say “These postcards are great. Yes, they are. ” 课件播出一组烟台风光的明信片,教读新单词“postcard”的同时,学习句型。2. Show a picture of this dialogue, then listen and answer the question “How long is the Great Wall?” Before listening, make the students guess which answer is right. Use the three c
6、hoices to elicit the new word “kilometre” 在播放课文光盘之前,对老师提出的问题进行预先猜测,即可大概的先了解本课的内容,又可以解决本课的新词“kilometre”,除此之外,学生在表达教师所提供的三个选项时,其实也就是对新词的练习。Q: How long is the Great Wall?A. Its about seven hundred kilometres.B. Its about six thousand kilometres.C. Its about six thousand seven hundred kilometres.学生进行预先猜
7、测之后再进行听课文找答案,这时学生是带着任务去听的,有明确的目的性。听完之后找出答案,并给予猜测正确的组以拼图奖励。同时跟读原文中这部分内容,并同为之间相互说。3. Talk about a postcard of the Great Wall with the key structure “Tell me more about the Great Wall.”通过交流,给学生一个充分表达的机会,看学生对长城了解有多少。 S: Its old. 8、n Beijing.4. Look, listen and underline the answers to the questions “How big is Beijing? How big is New York?” Tell the students here “how big” mean “how many people” and elicit the new word “million”. After that make the students pay attention to “its got = it has got”.再次播放光盘听课文,依然让学生带着问题有目的的听课文。但
