So, when the rainstorm suddenly came, what were you doing?,(1)【辨析】 when 与while 表示“当的时候”，若后面连接的动词为进行时态，则用while多于用when。而when通常与瞬间性动词或延续性不强的动词连用。 如果while前后的动词都是进行时态，while译为“与此同时”。例：
