What:The picture book is fro
2、m Yi Lin Press. The selected teaching material is taken from Follow Rabbits Book Series. The main characters are the three birds: Nick, magpie and parrot. They adore with each other.2. Why :The story aims to stimulate Ss to realize: Everyone has his or her own strong points, everyone is special and
3、unique. It,s in the important position because it provides the opportunity to advance the abilities of searching information and reading skills.3. How:This picture book is rich in knowledge and interest, it is more in line with the childrens cognitive law and age characteristics. The whole story dev
4、elops with the change of Nick,s feelings: alone-sad-happy.Analysis of Learners:Ss in Grade 6 have already learnt some English words and phrases. They are active, curious and have great passion in English learning. Tosome extent, picture books may attract their attention and it is relatively easy for
5、 them to know the plot development. However, because of the lack of vocabulary and reading skills, they may meet some difficulties in understanding the deeper meaning of the story.Teaching Objectives:By the end of the class, students will be able to:1 .
