roommate(s)?,Debate:On vs.off campus,Do you prefer to live alone or with a roommate?,Id rather live alone. To me,privacy is extremely important. And,I feel it wont be easy to find a really good roommate.I heard all the roommate stories and the majority of them were about how awful roommates were and how it was impossible to get along.Undoubtedly, with roommates everybody starts out with best will. But when time passes, people get cranky and you can find yourself in some hot water. That can be on minor things, like cleaning the bathroom, using somebody elses soap and paying for certain bills. But these minor things can come to a serious point and destroy your relationship. My point is that if its likely that youll end up feeling resentful with each other, why should you live together at all?,Discuss:,How to get along with roommates?,Tips for living with roommates,1,Open,honest and constant communication is the key to successful roommate relationships.Take some time to talk about to the room?Accept the fact that youll have to make compromises.,3,Its a good idea to divide the chores as making beds, dusting, washing dirty dishes and taking out the trash.,4,Youll have a better time likely that we my have offended/bothered each other without knowing it.Its not wise to bottle the feelings up and stop talking to each other. In this case, the problems may accumulate and so do the unhappy feelings about each other.Looking at things from his/her perspective may help a lot too.But if Im really unfortunate and have an extremely overbearing/unreasonable roommate,Ill certainly stand up to him/her.If there is no way that we can work it out,the only thing I can do is to change my roommate.I believe there will always be some better roommates out there.,Debate,Why live alone?,Why
