Companies and employees must pay close attention to industrial fork truckss safety.Fork trucks are dangerous equipment if they are improperly operated.Especially,fork trucks work in a narrow workplace or co-workers work in the same place.So companies must have a series of strict standards in relation to fork trucks training,operation and maintenance.All fork truck operators must have undergone both theoretical and practical training before operation of a fork truck and are required to undertake refresher courses.,1.Foreword:,Note:It is everybodys duty to pay attention to safety,2.Instruction of Fork Truck Driver,Worker injuries mainly because drivers havent undergone formal training,or havent understood thoroughly the safety regulation,or operated carelessly.So,our slogan is Safety First for reminding and stressing the importance of safety.There are many different types of fork trucks with different load capacities,but some basic operations must be complied.Drivers must abide by all everybodys efforts!Basic principle:,Safety First!,3.Safety Regulation of Fork Truck Driver,Keypoint:Drivers must be familiar with and master each fork trucks operation and safety regulation before operate any industrial fork trucks.Please refer to Fork Truck Manual.Drivers must check fork trucks and report any troubles everyday before operating.Driver must report any troubles during operating.Must use the specified oil,grease and fuel which meet the manual recommendation.,Check Contents before operating,Check fuel,engine oil and coolantCheck the oil level of fuel:observe the fuel indicator on monitr,or open the tank cover or use caliper for measuring.No using lighter to observe in case of fire.Check engine oil:too full engine oil will increase axles turn resistance so that leak oil.Little oil will result in engine working improperly.So drivers must use caliper to check oil level before operating.Check the coolant:the level must be between full and low marks.,B.Check engine and each indicators in different speeds,Check engine:firstly start engine,dont warm engine in the idle speed,but check engine in different speed and with some loads for abnormality or not.,Turn off engine before add diesel.No smoking or using lighter when repair and add oil.Prevent oil from splashing on high-temperature parts.,Be care of scald when discharging engine oil!,Check Points,Only after water tank cools,open the cover(2),be care of scald.(There are some pressures in water tank),Check each meters:firstly start engine,run charging indicator,oil temperature alarm,engine oil pressure alarm,engine oil temperature alarm,air filter alarm,fuel oil level alarm.To electric fork truck:besides the above,check battery temperature alarm,carbon brush alarm,battery discharge indicator.Check cooling water of fuel and engine oil for leakage.Before start machine,check ground for fuel or cooling water.After start,check fuel filter and joints for oil leakage.Note:Your hands and loose clothing far away from moving and hot parts after start the fork truck.,C.Check steering wheel,brake,tyres,lights,horns and wipers,Steering Wheel:stop fork truck,turn steering wheel left/right,the turning clearance is less than 10,push steering wheel up/down for loosing or not.Brake:stamp on the pedal,brake can work at once,and oil circuit isnt leaking.,Tyres:observe the tyre surface for abnormality,if need,use barometer for checking pressure and add gas.Check tyre for foreign object and bolt every 100 hours.Lights:Check headlights,small lights,fog lights,turn signals,taillights,brake lights for abnormality.Horns:work properly,voice is loud.Wipers:work properly.,D.Observe each meters,engine and chassis parts during traveling,Observe each meters:stop the fork truck at once and check if any one of charging indicator,oil temperature alarm,engine oil pressure alarm,engine oil temperature alarm,air filter alarm,fuel oil level alarm is trouble.Notice the smeel of bruning rubber:if smeel the bruning rubber,stop the fork truck at once and check the low pressure circuit for short circuit,the belt of fan and generator,tyre and other parts.Note:the fork truck is hot at this time.,Notice the abnormal sound:stop the fork truck at once and check the engine,chassis moving parts and other parts.Check hub temperature after stop the fork truck:use hands to touch hub,if hands are hard to bear,the temperature is too hot and make the further examinations.,Health Requirements of Drivers:,The fork truck drivers must be healthy,normal intelligence and meet the following points:A：Fine hearingB：Normal blood pressureC：Dont have mentally ill,heart disease,high blood pressure and neurosisD：Fine vision,no color blindness,Drivers woking in a plant must have undergone both theoretical and practical training,the residency is more than 6 months,master the operation skills,acquire the special job licence,then operate fork truck independently.During residency,students must be properly guided by teachers.Drivers must study carefully and stictly comply with traffic regulations.Carry the special job licence anytime for the relevant departments inspection when working.Drivers must master the operation skills,be familiar with fork trucks capacities,the plant roads,fork trucks maintenance and troubleshootingDriving after drinking is strictly prohibit.No smoking when driving,adding oil and charging.Picking up people is forbidden.Check fork truck before operating,Fault fork truck is absolutely prohibited.Check for people and barriers before starting fork truck,then blow a whistle for traveling Slow down undet the adverse conditions A routine physical examination should be performed for drivers,if anybody dont suit for the driver job,should change his job.,E：Drivers in a plant must do the following points:,F：Drivers must insist on Ten Slow,Eight No Driving,Ten Good,“Ten Slow”:Slow starting,slow turning,slow downgrading,slow traveling while passing other cars,slow reversing,slow pulling,slow traveling at intersection,slowing driving at dark,slow driving on rain days,slow traveling on bridge.“Eight No Driving:No driving when occur the following things:the door doesnt close,safety equipment goes out of order,the driver doesnt sit properly,goods arent loaded correctly,people stand on forks,people stand on mast,the driver doesnt check before working,overhigh or overweight goods Ten Good:Good brake,good lights,good horns,good driving skills,good observation,good signals,good maintenance,good complying with regulation,good performance of safety measure,good teamwork,In order to fork trucks work normally,fork truck should be examined by the specially trained personnel at least every year.If the fork truck provides the seat belt,drivers must buckle the seat belt when driving.No picking up people while moving fork truck.Its forbidden to use the worn-out forks(exceed allowable range),broken and unfixed fork.,Precaution of accidents,4.Attachments:,Using attachments according to their functions and products descriptions.Using the attachments from the original manufacturer,if not,use them under the circumstances of safe assembly and safe load.Its forbidden that use overweight attachments and work with forks together.The load nameplates and warning signs must be located clearly on fork trucks.,Inspection Method:Check connection pipes for wearing out and damage.Check pipe joints for leakage with soap water or special equipments.Turn off the gas valve after stop fork trucks.,5.A Safe Rules of PP GG System,!A liquefied petroleum gas leak can result in a explosion and a fire!,Especially in the following circumstances:：LLPPGG System leaks.Engine cant start.Smell liquefied petroleum gas.It must be forbidden at this time:Remove the gas cover(1)and lose the gas cover(1).No operating if LLPPGG system is fault.No driving the fork truck if it is fault.,6.Safe Operation,Learning ForkliftDrivers must have undergone both theoretical and practical training.Read the operational manual before driving.,Forklift inspectionCheck forklift before woring everyday,if find any troubles,need repair.,Keeping body in forkliftDrivers must sit on seat to operate.Its forbidden that push any parts of their body through mast,forks and moving parts.,No jumping from forkliftDont jump when forklift tip,but clench the steering wheel and open two legs,body tip in the reversal direction of forklift tipping,sit on seat in case of collision.,No overloadingLearning the maximum load on nameplate.No overloading.,Preventing from transversal overturning Forklift trucks may overturn as a result of overload,unequal center of gravity of the load or travel over an uneven surface causing bulky good and traveling on slopesIf load a bulky goods,and block the view,forklift must be reversed.If travel on upgrades,forklift should travel forward and arrange a guide in front of the forklift.,No smoking when adding oil or checking batteryTurn off the engine and power when adding oil or checking battery.No smoking or lighting.,7.Maintenance Rules,Always refer to the manual and the technical informations!,Always act in accordance with the manufacturer guidances,If you feel confused,contact the manufacturer for help!,Requirements:Only conduct the correct maintenance regularly,forklifts can work properly.Only the specially trained personnel can conduct the maintenance for forklifts.Must use the special engine oil,grease,diesel and parts from the manufacturer recommendations.,If not comply with the above operational standards,the fork truck capacities will be suffered.The after-service people should obey the safety rules to maintain fork trucks like drivers.Fork trucks must be parked on flat land,and not slide or automatic start.Fix the fork truck with wood block and special equipments.Lower forks and lean mast forward slowly till forks touch the land,push the emergency isolating switch and remove the start key.The mast must be fixed in case of leaning backward,if need to repair.No modifying fork trucks or adding any equipments without manufacturers permission.Check functions and commissioning after every maintenance.,NoteIt is necessary to make up the lost or destoryed nameplates.,The maintenance interval should be shorten if fork trucks work in extreme enviroment.(over hot,over cold or over dusty).,NoteObey the safety rules and disposal methods of oil,grease and detergent.,NoteInspection and commissioning should be made after every maintenance.Be sure of the correct maintenance.,You must check the following points:,Safety Rules:Its necessary to use the correct lifting tools to support the forklift.Clean：Welding：If need to weld,take away the senstive parts(such as hydraulic control parts and battery).Be sure fire-fighting apparatus is near.Assembling and safety Keypoints:Inspection and commissioning should be made after every maintenance.Be sure of the correct maintenance.,No using the high-pressured water gun to flush the electric forklift.If use the high-pressured water gun to flush the diesel forklift,the engine must be turn off.Be carefu not pouring water into the intake and outtake.No using flammable liquid to clean.Prevent short circuit.Protect all senstive parts.Clean electric motor and other parts by high pressure air.The chains are cleaned only by paraffin wax,then are lubricated.Keep the workplace and cab clean.,NoteIts necessary to park forklift on the flat land,and the wheel cant slide.The
