Full detail of the interconnection requirements could be the subject of a future standard.A number of requirements are contained in this standard for which a formal test procedure can only be written by defining (and hence restricting) the technology by which the requirement is achieved. Accordingly, it has been recognised that such functions can be tested only by agreement between manufacturer and test house, according to documented information relating to how the required functionality has been achieved.A table to cross reference EN 50131-1 requirements against this EN 50131-3 and tests has been included in Annex D.ContentsIntroduction.31Scope .62Normative references .73Definitions and abbreviations .73.1Definitions .73.2Abbreviations .104Equipment attributes .104.1General .104.2Functionality .115CIE construction .116Security grade .117Environmental performance .117.1Requirements.117.2Environmental and EMC tests .118Functional requirements .128.1Inputs .128.2Outputs.138.3Operation .138.4Processing .188.5Indication .198.6Notification outputs .208.7Tamper security (detection/protection) .218.8Interconnections.238.9Timing .248.10Event recording .248.11Power supply.259Product documentation .259.1Installation and maintenance .259.2Operating instructions .2610Marking and labelling .2611Tests.2611.1Test conditions .2711.2Test procedures .2811.3Reduced functional test .2811.4Functional tests .2911.5Access level .4011.6Authorization requirements .4111.7Operational tests .4611.8Tamper security tests.5611.9Substitution tests.5911.10Testing of I&HAS timing performance .5911.11Testing for interconnections .6011.12Event log .6111.13Marking and documentation.6211.14Environmental and EMC tests .63Annex A (informative) Interconnection types .65Annex B (informative) Summary of timing requirements .67Annex C (normative) Use of non-I&HAS interface .68Annex D (informative) Summary of function cross references.69FiguresFigure A.1 Specific wired interconnections .65Figure A.2 Non-specific wired interconnections .65Figure A.3 Wire-free interconnections .66TablesTable 1 Recognition of additional fault conditions .12Table 2 Recognition of biometric keys .15Table 3 Time intervals for methods of authorization used in combination .15Table 4 Detection of repeated invalid authorization attempts .16Table 5 Monitoring of processing .19Table 6 Indications supplementary to those of EN 50131-1 .20Table 7 Tamper protection .22Table 8 Tamper detection.22Table 9 Tool dimension for tamper detection .23Table 10 Removal from mounting .23Ta
