For the first online TOEIC do test 8 and for the second online TOEIC do test 7.4. You will also be tested on these online TOEIC exercises in the online exercise quizzes 1 and 2. As with the Academic Connections online coursework, you must complete these exercises in the specified times.· Academic Connections online assignments:Academic Connections online assignments are all found at www.MyAcademicConnectionsL. All assigned online homework must be completed by the dates given above. If students fail to complete these online tasks by the specified time, students will lose the grade the accords to that homework. · Extra online readingExtra online readings will be provided instructor. You are expected to read these business English articles by the specified dates. As there will be questions based on these articles in your online exercise quizzes 1 and 2, make sure you read these articles thoroughly. · Additional five percentAn additional five percent is awarded for attendance at the Language Learning Lounge(LLL) to a students final grade. For example: if a student receives 25%in midterms, 25%in finals, 20% in in-class and online course work and 5% from LLL attendance, then their final grade for the entire course will be 75 percent. That is, students receive an extra 5% on top of their final course grade.The conditions for receiving an extra 5% are as follows: A student needs to get 10 stamps from an LLL tutor to get the complete extra 5 percent. There are three ways to get a stamp: 1. By using the computer assisted language exercises for at least half an hour students can gain a stamp.2. By using the English language book materials at the ESAC for at least half an hour students can gain a stamp3. Meeting with a tutor at the ESAC for at least 25 minutes students can gain a stamp.· Performing presentationsAs part of your “in class” activities this year you will have the opportunity to form groups with your class mates and present a short presentation. Teachers will help guide you to form groups and design a presentation with your group. The subject of your seminar can be either based on a topic your coursebook or, with your teachers approval, be based on a subject of your own groups creation.
