高中英语必修Unit2 English around the world说课稿一Analysis of the material The central topic of this unit is “English around the world". This unit seeks to give students a better understanding of how English developed and how it is spoken in the world. Students often hear talk about “standard english”. In fact, as this unit hopes to make clear, there is no such thing as one standard of spoken or written English. English is spoken in many countries throughout the world and many of them have different forms of expression. They have been learning English in junior high school and have accumulated a certain number of vocabularies. They have mastered some simple learning strategies and skills with a preliminary ability of speaking and writing. However, the differences in students' personality and English proficiency are very large. So my teaching design should have gradient to meet the need of different student. I will seize the student's psychological characteristics and stimulate students' interest, so that they will learn to participate in the study, and learn to study in the participation四 Teaching key points and difficult points1. Key points: Know the stylistic features of narration, by which to guide the students reading 2. Difficult points: Develop the students reading skills of skimming, scanning and careful reading.Get the main idea and details of the text.五.Teaching method As is known to us all, a good teaching method requires that the teacher should help the Ss develop good sense of the English language. It is about a Chinese guy imitating English accents of 9 countries include Japan, Korea, India, French and so on.Purpose: Video has the advantages of vivid and intuitive, so the lesson will be more attractive. Lead in by a video can catch the students attention on class quickly. It will also keep them interested in learning.Step2 Warming up(1)Ask the Ss to read the dialogue below and ask them if they can understand what they are talking about. It seems that B gave some irrelevant answers to As question. But is that true? Why?Then ask some SS to talk about their opinion.A: Lets go to the pictures!B: Ok, But how shall we go to the movies?A: Why not go by Underground?B: Er, but the subway station is far away.(2) Then I will list some words on the blackboard and ask the student if they know which one is American English and which one is British English.
