Today my teaching material is section AUnit 4want to be an actor.Generally speaking, I divided it into 5 parts: analysis of the teaching material, teaching aims, focal points and difficult ponits, teaching methods, and teaching procedures.Part Analysis of the teaching materialSection A is the first part of this unit, so it plays an important role. It presents the main language structure and vocabulary. Moreover, it lays foundation for the following study. This unit is mainly about the way to express jobs and what people want to be in the future. Part Teaching aimsIt includes knowledge aims, ability aims and moral aims .Knowledge aims : First, To enable students to grasp new words and phrases Vocabulary :shop assistant,  doctor,  reporter,  policeman,  policewoan,  waiter,  bank clerk,  actor,  teacher and studentSecond, to enable the students to have a good command of the grammar _Sentences(grammar): What do you do?           Im an actor. What does he do?           Hes a doctor. What do you want to be?     I want to be an actor. What does he want to be?     He wants to be a bank clerk. Ability aims: I will try my best to improve their abilities of listening , speaking ,reading ,and writing.especially listening and speaking .Moral aims: To cultivte their spirit of collaboration To foster their positive attidude toward lifePart Focal points1、 To enable the students to grasp the new words and phrases2、 GrammarTeaching difficult pointguide the students to talk about their problems and give advice freely( )Part Teaching methods1、 Situational teaching method: I will design certain scenes for my students to practice the target language, so their interest can be inspired . 2、 Communicative approach: I will make conversations with several students and encourage the others to make conversations with their partners. Since vocabulary is the foundation of the language study, first of all, I will teach my students the words of this lesson . Then I will let them read after me for several times. At the same time, I will pay more attention to their pronunciation.Step 2 PresentationDisplay the pictures of 1a, and let the students discuss what are they talking about. In this way, I can lead in the dialogue in 1a, and make my class more active.Then, I will let my student listen to the tape twice and practice the dialogue with their partner. Sevral minutes later, I will encourage some of the students to stand up and act it out.Next, I will present the grammar and the main sentence structures in this part.Step 3 Practice( ) Then, I will let them do the exercises in the book.
