Peoples ways of thinking and activities have changed a lot as the speed of this wave run fast. And then our traditional moral and routine have been lashed fiercely, however, the moral system complying with this wave has not been set up, which leads the disruption in our society. Especially the Y Generation, born after 1980s, takes it directly and blindly before we acknowledge it profoundly. Their activities make Chinese culture and national spirit become “periphery”. At the time they globalized, the Y Generation does not care of in the core of Chinese culture.Copying foreigners without any choices lashed Chinese weak cultural activities and phenomenon. It is not enough to have prosperous economy to keep Chinese culture and national spirit exist in the forests of the world nation; meanwhile, the Y Generation should make Chinese culture and national spirit run leading position in the world. In a word, they should be under the situation, choosing essences and abandoning dross. Introduction The Y Generation enters the time of globalization. As the most active group at present, the Y generation young men receive the tendency positively, even if some do not know what the real meaning is. Especially American cultures, they bring them barely no matter what is useful or not. The generation gives up Chinese excellent family heirlooms and national spirits in pursuit of fashion and sense of fresh. When mentioning globalization, people can think about economy easily. However, different cultures intagrate nowdays. What leads to such result is that the Y Generations ideas are globalized, however, the wordglobalization is neutral without any faults.Clash of cultures makes people think more about the survival of Chinese culture. The glorious and arduous task is loaded on the Y Generations shoulders.Undoubtedly, as the positive part, the Y generation can not copy directly but must learn to magnify Chinese culture, choose essences and abandon dross.I Status of Y Generation Accepting American CultureA. Copying the Ideas in Western Culture Lock, Stock and BarralA college girl wrote a diary in her note as follow:The Mr. Right in my heart should be up to standards as follow:Height:175 (5cm higher than mens average in China)Weight:Heihgt-110=W (kg)Age: as young as me (elder than me in 5 at most)Education: a least a bachelorSkill: a computer genius, acknowledging the etiquette of China, good at sports.Personal character: diligent, honest, self-dependent, humor, warm-hearted, handsomeOf course, he is a lady killer. But I am his killer, I mean here he really love me only. He never put on the god to show off his money.Meanwhile, our love story should be tortuous and Romantic but the end is well, just like the story of Darcy and Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.Surely, all of the above what I have written can not subsume all merits of an excellent Mr. Right. He may be height of perfection in after. I do not reject the man having so many virtues.Obviously, the girl has thrown herself on Austens feet. Western culture has been affecting our generation, especially American culture. This is a pervasive phenomenon in college campus in our country. When you hang out in campus, you will see such a group of student with different imaginative and incredible hair styles, colorful and fantastic clothes, mouthful modern and elusive words. They are far too sophisticated these days. What is strange is that the change is so common that the Y Generation is not aware of it. Unless one who has profound Chinese culture level may say something about it, its activities are accepted as “normal” and justified with little question. Without controversy, the time is ongoing without any consideration and alternative. Are those changes affected by globalization? Answer is uniqueyes. And what is globalization? Why is the Y Generation globalized?Globalization refers to a cultural and economic phenomenon which is formed by flowing of substance and token capital such as race, video, science and technology, ideology and transnational movement. The Y Generation is considered as a new outside idea. What is more, country police offers us a relaxed environment. The new race is interested in American Culture, life style and consumption habit, especially the Americas dream. What attract the new race are special American traits. They embodies in Coopers The Pioneer. The novels hero, a land developer, takes his cousin on a tour of the city he is building. But his cousin looks around bewildered. All she sees is stubby forest. “Where are the beauties and improvements which you were to show me?” she asks. He is astonished she can not see them. “Where? Why everywhere!” he replies. For though they are not yet built on earth, he has built them in his mind, and they are as concrete to him as if they were already constructed and finished.Cooper was illustrating a distinctly American trait, future-mindedness: the ability to see the present from the vantage point of future; the freedom to feel unencumbered by the past and more emotionally attached to things to come. “America is therefore the land of the future.” The German philosopher Hegel wrote. “Life for Americans is always becoming, never being.” One word affects a generation. The new race transforms their idea of consumption, knowing deficit spending, changes their life styles, it is said that the most of Internet use takes place in China. Meanwhile, what people eat at breakfast has become milk and bread, what people wear has become the famous brand from the world. However, the word also brings some negative effects, the obliviousness to their history, the increasing alien personal character, the frenzied waste of talents. The author think people will never forget the famous mountaineering organization called Shangying Agency in Qinghua University. Enjoying the thrill and challenge has them overwhelmed in the storm. Blindness, arbitration, foolhardiness made waste, but they have no chance to think about and understand the detail of the waste. Is it true that the foreign moon is bigger and more beautiful than ours? “Made in America” has labeled anywhere, however, “Made in China” only appears on the small goods.B. McChina: A Consequence of EnjoymentFast food has infiltrated every big city in our country since 1980s. The new industry has peppered into every nook and cranny of Western country has been popular in the new group. The author investigated the fast food shop in Panzhihua. The number has exceeded 5 in the small downtown, such as KFC and Dicos. Most consumers are youth, even if there are some old people, who are only moneybags. These shops have become the good place to hold parties and have a holiday.Pull open the glass door, feel the rush of cool air, listen to the pop music, walk in, get on line, study the book lit color photographs above the counter, place your order, hand over some money, watch teenagers in uniforms pushing various buttons saying “good choices”, moment later, take hold of a plastic tray full of food wrapped in color paper and cardboard. The whole experience of buying fast food has become so routine for the Y Generation, so thoroughly unexceptional and mundane, that it is now taken for granted, like brushing teeth or stopping for red light.Furthermore, Chinese traditional social environment faces challenge. Lots of Chinese special snake shops confront bleak reception. So a strange culture called alternative modernity appears in this line. In Panzhihua, a new fast foot shop with fitting Chinese diet habit is born, which is called Meilelin. In the field of literature, this phenomenon belongs to Postcolonial theory. Which refers to the confliction of two different social cultures because of the effect of colony, from Spivaks Outside in the Teaching Machine, meanwhile, subversion of outside culture. It proves to be not only a revolutionary force but a fierce force of globalization. What the Y Generation eats (or does not eat) is determined by a complex interplay of social economy, and technological force, meanwhile, the enjoyment of them. A nations diet can be more revealing than its art and literature.Reception the fast food imply to a new preference of value, just like the fans love all of a singers songs because they love him, people play basketball because the time of basketball belongs to NBA, blindness, no destination but only pursuing modern, though the Y Generation are bland for high fat and sugar in hamburger.Undoubtedly, it is the attitudes which stigmatize them from society who smuggle heavy fetishism and jouissance and leave their excellent family heirloom go away.Of course, reception new ideas and matters are peoples necessary skill. However, do Chinese people always stay at the table with kinds of hamburgers without any home dishes? Please remember: we are different race from white and black.C. Sex in Y Generations EyesSurely, it is the time for the Y Generation to show their opinion on this matter and be able to. They are most active group in this research fieldas the Y Generation will be the main force of social reform in 21st century. This is not a social matter but a moral issue under the sun. The most serious fact is sexism, which describes the specificity of female oppression. In China, it is a fact that the females have been objectified from ancient time. The traditional and feudal patriarchy has controlled the whole society about 2000 years. This status embodies two core conceptions. The first is that the men are more important than women. Not necessarily superiorpeople are far too sophisticated these days than to use those tainted termsbut more important, more significant, more valuable, more worthwhile. It is value that justifies the idea that it is more important for a man, the “breadwinner”, to have a job or a promotion, than a woman, more important for a man to be paid well, more important for a man to have an education and in general to have preference over a woman. It is a basis of feeling by men that if women enter a particular occupation they will degrade it and that men must leave or be themselves degraded, and the feeling by women that they can raise the prestige of their professions by recruiting men, which they can only do by giving them the better jobs. From this value comes the attitude that a husband must earn more than his wife or suffer a loss of personal status and a wife must subsume her interests to his or he socially castigated. From this value comes the practice of rewarding men foe serving in the armed forces and punishing women for having children. The first core concept of sexist thought is that men do the important work in the world and the work done by men is what is important. The second core concept is that women are here for the pleasure and assistant of men. This is what is meant when women are told that their role is complementary to that of men; that they should fulfill their natural “feminine” functions; that they are “different” from men and should not compete with them. From this concept comes the attitude that women are and should be dependent on men: for everything but especially their identities, the social definition of whom they are. It defines the few roles foe which women are socially rewardedwife, mother and mistressall of which are pleasing or beneficial to men, and leads directly to the “pedestal” theory which extols women who stay in their place as good help-mates to men.It is this attitude which stigmatized those women who do not marry or who do not devote their primary energies to the care of men and their children. Association with a man is the basic criterion for participation by women in this society and one who does not seek her identity through a man is a threat to the social values. It is similarly this attitude which causes womens liberation activists to be libeled as man haters for exposing the nature of the sexism. People feel that a woman not devoted to looking after men must act this way because of hatred or inability to “catch” one. The second core concept of sexist thought is that womens identities are defined by their relationship to men and their social value by that of the men they are related to.However, there are more changes now. As some new ides about womens liberation movement flow into mainland, such as feminism, ethical feminism and radical feminism takes up the Y Generations eyes. The females of new race are beginning to cast off the embarrassing situation. They work so hard in college that they can start an enterprise by themselves. The author made an investigation two weeks ago, which shows that about the most of scholarship getters are girls in the School of Foreigner Language and Culture. They learn better than boys in common. They show more self-dependent, more indomitable, more self-confident and more skillful. It certainly does not say that where there is enough quantity, there is good quality. The feminism also brings some negative effects for the Y Generation. Some females go to extreme, and then a new word turns uplesbianism in order to shake off men. Anyway, they never learn that they have deviated from basic nature rule.Four years in college, the author always see such note for Renting Out the Room Paid by the Hour, some of which have an incredible names called The Room Full of Romantic. It is easy to say that some colleges stud
