This lesson is a new one of Unit 1 . It includes parts : and . In part1, it mainly deals with these key words, . And, in part2, it deals with the patterns: .This Lesson is mainly about , The topic is related to our life, so its easy to arouse students interest. As we all know, interest is the best teacher for students Secondly, it is about the students. Our students are in Grade 6 .They have learned English for 3 years, so they can understand some words and simple sentences. Theyre active, interested in new things, so Ill design some interesting activities to attract their attention. 2、教学目标 (Teaching aims and demands) Next, Ill talk about teaching aims. The first one is language knowledge By the end of the lesson students will be able to read, recognize, and use these words: by foot bike bus train And, these sentences: how do you go to school? Igo to school by bike. How do you go to Canada? I go by plane The second one is ability goals 1、To improve students speaking and listening ability, they can use words and phrases to talk about something in our life. 2、 To develop students communicative ability by learning the useful expressions for making suggestions and replying . The third one is emotional aim (Affect; Learning strategies; cultural awareness): In this lesson, the emotional aim is To arouse the Ss interests in English and to improve their motivation of communication. To help students cultivate陶冶 and foster培养 their abilities of working in groups. To develop the spirit of cooperation by pair work and competition. Teaching methods Fourthly,its about teaching methods. In this lesson, I will mainly use “Task-based teaching method”, “Communicative language teaching method” and “TPR teaching method”, and so on. Teaching key points: To master the usage of new words_ and key sentences _correctly. The difficult point is : 1. The understanding of the words: _especially usage for making conversations Teaching tools;Tape-recorder, ppt , picture cards, flags and so on Next, lets focus on the teaching procedures. I will finish the lesson in 5 steps. Step1, Greeting and warming up It will cost 3 minutes In this period , Ill ask students to have a free talk with the knowledge they have learnt last lesson in this way , students will pay their attention to our class easily , and their speaking ability will be improved . Step2, lead in It will cost 2 minutes. I will begin the lesson by singing the song” My family” these can form a relaxing atmosphere and let the students get ready for the next step . Step 3 presentation Itll cost 20 minutes Ill show some pictures about ( ),and ask students to guess the new words , with the help of PPT . Ill set a real situation to help the class learn new words and sentence pattern .students can follow the tape recorder reading words and text . Situational approach is used here . Lets play Games. In this game, I will take some words and picture cards to distribute a different class, when I read a word, with the words and pictures of the students who stand up more quickly, Which one is best, he/she will get the flag. the slower one should give us a performance(let us do的内容) Step 4 practice Itll cost 10 minutes In this step, Ill divide the whole class into 4 groups to have a competition by reading the dialogue and role-playing .Then, Ill ask students to make a new dialogue to check if they can use new words and sentence pattern correctly. Task-based teaching method is used here, and students cooperation ability will be well developed. Step 5 summary Itll cost 5 minutes . In this step , Ill guide students to conclude key words and sentence pattern to wide their knowledge about communication across cultures Step 6 Homework In the end , Ill give some homework.
