The Romance of a Busy BrokerThe Romance of a Busy Broker 文院 李士杰 Maxwell is a busy broker and he is willing to abandon anything for the sake of money. This story has two interesting plots which will help us draw inspiration of life. The first one is at the begining of the story. Leslie moved over by Maxwells desk, near enough for him to be aware of her presence, which is a very strange action. Till the end, its surprising that Leslie and Maxwell just held a wedding ceremony last evening at eight oclock in the Little Church around the corner. But Maxwell neglected the goodwill when his wife softly talked to him. Because of that, Im sure Leslie will not have a blessed and happy life during her marriage, which is regrettable and mournful. So I think the value of love doesnt depend on the sum of money, but on the cultivation of emotion between two sides. The other one is at the end of story. Maxwell suddenly thought of an important thing that he should propose marriage to Leslie at once, but in fact, he had just married last night! That thing reveals his character that money is king. It also tells us people cant live only rely on money. If so, we may become a machine without humor and love!
