The book report of love of life杰克伦敦热爱生命英文读书报告The book report of love of life By Jack London The story tells us that a western rifleman abandoned by his friend on the way back. He was alone in the vast wasteland. Winter is coming. He was greeted by wind. He had no food, and he had hurt his leg, his feet in the blood. He can only move in the wilderness which is full of swamp, hills and streams. When his body is very weak, he met a Wolf. He found the sick wolf followed him, and licked his blood. At the end of the battle, he won and he drank the blood of the wolf. Eventually, he rescued. The story was written by Jack London who was born in January 12, 1876(1876-01-12) San Francisco, California United States. He was a novelist, journalist, short story writer and essayist. After reading this story, what gives me the most important impression is that the poor man staggered by himself although he was hungry, painful. Sometimes he even seemed faint and dizzy. Along the way, he did nothing but made his way to the destination and sleeping at night. One day, he was awoke, quietly lying on his back. He gazed straight up into the gray sky and knew that he was hungry. As he rolled over on his elbow he was startled by loud snort, and saw a bull caribou, regarding him with alert curiosity. That is a wolf. The patience of the wolf was terrible. The man's patience was no less terrible. For example, " he did not hear the breath, and he slipped slowly from some dream to the feel of the tongue dong his hand. He waited. The fangs pressed softly; the pressure increased; the wolf was exerting its last strength in an effort to sink teeth in the food for which it had waited so long. But the man had waited long. Five minutes later the whole weight of the man's body was on top of the wolf. At the end of half an hour the man was aware of a warm trickle in his throat. It was not pleasant. It was like molten lead being forced into his stomach, and it was forced by his will alone. Later the man rolled over on his back and slept." That is to say, only if he won't give up struggling can he save the precious life. The winter was coming. Being hungry, painful, horrible with a wolf following him, he could not help to persist in staggering. He had went to seek for gold and now he was successful. However, not only could the gold be regarded as food, but also a tool to fight against the wolf. He was indulged in the situation where he was confronted with a variety of choices. As he followed Bill's trail, he guessed that Bill was dead because Bill kept golds with himself which had become a heavy burden to resist his going forward. At last, he concealed his treasures in different places. What left in his ming was just to survive. He was wriggling just like a worm when he was awoke. At last, he moved toward to the coast,the people in the ship noticed him moving and they rescued him. After days of recovering, he regained the normal life. Don't give up! You can achieve the final success with a strong will. Jack London told me this. Furthermore, please cherish life. Survival is instinct of human, life is also the inherent nature. We suffer the pain and struggle, we also enjoy natural and life. Life itself is a kind of happiness. Everyone of us in the steep mountain climbing, for the life also for survival. As long as life indomitable, human will win!
