Green living对话五组A: Hi, Xueling. The weather is getting cold, I want to buy some new clothes, would you like to go shopping this Saturday? B: Let me see Yes, Im free on this Saturday. A: I heard that H&M was launching a sales promotion saying customers handing in jeans they no longer want would get a 20% off. Its really a bargain, isnt it? B: Well, I think its not only economically friendly but also environmentally friendly. Those old clothes we hand in can be turned into textile fibers to produce more new clothes. Its a kind of recycle. A: We can also do it as an individual. My mom often make cleaning clothes out of my old T-shirt. B: Its so eco-friendly of your mom! When I was in college, there was a big box where we could put our old clothes so as to help those children of poverty-stricken areas. A: I think rational consumption should also be promoted. As we know, addicted consumers usually buy too many clothes while some of these clothes will never be worn, especially we young girls. B: Actually, our college often organize such activities where students can sell clothes they never wear to other people. A: Once upon the time, families having two or more children reused clothes more than what we do now. Young kids used to wear clothes of their older brother or sister. It was a way of living green too. B: Yes, you are right! I never realized that there could be so many ways of recycling and reusing our clothes in our daily life before. I believe that there must be many things we can also do in other aspects of living green to protect our mother earth. A:吕露 B:李雪玲
