Absolutely, so is education. As we can imagine, if a man lived in the past come to our class today, he would recognize that we were having class, but he would never expected to see the screen, the overhead projector, the computer, and so on. That is to say, the tools we use in todays education is much more complicated but multifunctional than before. However, I dont think the progressive “hardware” can be the right reason which allows us to ignore the imperfect “software” of our education, such as the idea for education, the way of teaching, and the education system. First of all, the teaching aim is not pure. It is a common phenomenon that the students, from primary school to the college, all take innumerable texts, participant in different contests, and go to all kinds of tutorial classes. Under the large pressure from the parents, teachers, and peers, todays students make the most use of their time to study, but it is really a pity that they only gain the skill to get higher scores rather than the capability to practice ,to create, to live and to work. In my opinion, instead of the exam-oriented education，we should advocate the quality education. For example, students should be given more chances to do some necessary experiments, other than just to listen to the teachers, and take notes in the classroom.
