Let's have some fruit教案Lets have some fruit Teaching Aims: 1. Improve the students reading and speaking ability; 2. Master the four words: fruit, grape, banana, orange; 3. Master the useful expressions by using them in the dialogues: May I have Have , please I like/dont like. Teaching Important and difficult Point: How to express ones ideas freely, using the expressions in the text. Teaching Methods: 1. Talking method; 2. Discussion method; 3. Pair work. Teaching procedures: Step 1 Greetings T: Good morning/afternoon, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning/afternoon, teacher. Step2 Warming up T: Whats your favourite food? Ss: My favourite food is T: Do you like fruit? 1 Ss: Yes, we do. (The teacher shows pictures) Step3 Presentation and drills 1. Learn the new words. Start by using slides so that students review some of the words(apple, watermelon, pear) Use the slides to show the new words, after reading, the students can pronounce correctly and understand them. (fruits, grapes, banana, orange ) 2. Teaching the dialogues. First ,show the picture “fruit” Drill: Lets have some fruit. Next, show the picture “grapes” Drill: May I have some grapes? -Sure. / Of course. Third, show the picture “bananas” Drill: Have some bananas, please. They are sweet. -Mmmh! I like bananas. Fourth, show picture “orange” Drill: Have an orange. -I dont like oranges. I like grapes. Step 3: Practice. Take out some fruit cards. 2 First, ask several students to make some dialogues with the teacher . Using “Great .May I have ?” “Have , please” and “I like/dont like ” For example: T: Have an apple? S: Great. I like apples. Theyre sweet. T: Have a mango? S: Sorry. I dont like mangos. I like grapes. Next, give the information bag to students, ask them to make their own dialogues with their partners. Then, ask some pairs to act out their dialogues. 3
