Listen to the tape . Then repeat and point. T : This is a map. What can you see on the map? ( Mexico, Amerrica and Canada, Now York, San Francisco) T: Listen and point to the places on the map. South, East, Where is New York? ( Its here, in the east. ) And what about San Francisco? ( Its in the west.) place. Stop 3 : Listen and write the words in the correct  T : Open your Activity Books, please. Look at Unit 2,Exercise 1. What can see? (Ss ). Now look at the words in the boxes. Im going to point to the words and say them. Then you can repeat them. T : Well done. Now listen to the tape. You must listen carefully and write the words in the correct places. Stop 4 : Look at the map of America. Then write sentences. T : Look at the Exercise 2 . Please look at the map and the picture What can you see? Ss : There are four balls. 2. Play a game with the students. Tell the students to draw six boxes on a piece of paper. Tell the students to number the boxes 1-6. Teaching procedure Step 1: Warmer Listen and say, then sing  Get the students to do mimes along with the words: There s a Great Wall in China. It is very very long. Theres a Great Wall in China. It is very very strong. There are many, many people and they like to sing this sing. Theres a Great Wall in China, and its very very long. In China theres a Great Wall, a Great Wall. It is vary, very, big and its a very famous wall.  Use actions to demonstrate the adjectives. Example T: Its very very long. ( holds the arms out wide to indicate length) Ss: Its very very long. ( holds their arms out wide to indicate length)  Listen to the tape , the students sing after it. Step 2. Listen and number.  Before playing the recording, get the students to focus on the pictures to familiarize themselves with the exercise.  Explain that Im going to describe the pictures. Tell them to listen carefully and point to the correct picture.  This will prepare them for the listening part of the exercise. Step 3. Look and complete the postcard.  Tell the students to close their Activity Books.  Tell them that Im going to describe a picture and they have to draw it.  Draw a large liank on the board.  Describe the scene in the Activity Book and invite  students to come to the board to draw the description.  Example T: There are lots of cars and taxis in thr street. ( A student comes up to the board and draw cars and taxis on the street.)  Repeat with the rest of the descriptions of the picture. Now tell them to open their Activity Books and look at the picture.  Ask them to compare the drawing on the board with the one in the Activity Book.  This will prepare them well fir the writing activity. Divide them into groups. One group is "This" and the other group is " These".  2. Now tell the students Im going to play the recoding of the dialogue and they have to listen carefully.  3. If they hear either : This or These the correct group had to stand up and shout Stop!  4. Play the recoring again if the students miss out on the target phrasas the first time round.  Step 3. Liten to the story again. Then tick the correct box.  1. Play the recording and ask the students to listen to the stiry again. Then, tellthem to read the sentences in the exercise and decide if they are True False or Dont know  2.
