Buddhism is one of the world¡¯s three major religions. It was founded by Siddhartha Gautama who lived in the north-east region of the Indian subcontinent between 6BC and 5BC . Buddhism was widespread in many countries in Asia. During the Eastern Han Dynasty it was spread from the West to the East into China. Then as a result of the Buddhist influence on and mergence with Chinese culture, Buddhism came to be a natural part of Chinese civilization, albeit with a unique character. Buddhism has played an enormous role in shaping the mindset of the Chinese people£¬affecting our aesthetics , politics, literature, philosophy and medicine.We are about to reach the destination,before we get off, let¡¯s review today's schedule and matters needing attention. Today we will visit Shifo Temple, stone coffins and we will taste the special Doudan. During the visit ,i need everyone keep safe,beauty is good, but safety is more important. Ok, let¡¯s go and have fun!Now ,we are at the place is called shifo temple. In the middle of the yard is Maitreya.Maitreya is one of the great Bodhisattva-disciples of the Buddha. He is famous for the perfection of patience, and in a future age he will become the next Buddha. He is also the founder of the Consciousness-Only School of Mahayana Buddhism. He is an example of tolerance and likes to laugh and always has a big smile on his face. Ok keep going . This is the great buddha¡¯s hall. Starting from the left, they are Amitabha, Sakyamuni and Bhaisajyaguru. At here, You should be faithful to show your respect and wish them to bless. You can't use the camera and speak loudly.Ok let¡¯s go to see the treasure of the temple.the figure of Buddha is made of copper.It weighs 70 tons and 33meters high. This figure is Sakyamuni who is giving a lecture. By talking about Sakyamuni, let me make a introduction. He is the founder of Buddhism, was born as the Prince of Sakyans. He grew up in luxury palace and his father prevented him from being exposed to the miseries of life. But he tried to seek the answer to the misery of existence and a way of release from the intolerable cycle of endless rebirths. At the age of 30,he achieved the supreme Enlightenment and became the Buddha and was the called Shakyamuni which means ¡°capability and kindness¡±. He then propagated Buddhist doctrines for 49 years in central India and was highly esteemed to be the Buddha. He died at the age of 80 under a pipal tree.Next we are going to see the stone coffins.It is the discovery of the oldest, largest and best preserved of the site. Experts unearthed 150 pieces of culturalrelics. And experts found 64 coffins. And it is very interesting that they are all women¡¯s coffins.So we can not help to wondering where were the men? By exploring, It proved that at that time, people lived here their productivity and Level of civilization is high.Ok ,after the visiting you must be tired and starving. I recommend to you a cate.
