She is 18 years old and very big. She has overall length (LOA) of 205 meters and a breadth of 27 meters. We were fully loaded with grains at our last port of callHamburg, Germany last month. Then we departed and began our sailing .It was an unlucky voyage. We met with a storm in the course of the voyage. After we had been at sea for 25 days, we came back to out homeport, Qingdao, a famous port in china. We waited at the anchorage for 7 hours, and we got alongside No.8 Wharf at 10:26. We planned to load coal at this port, and then sail to Japan 4 days later. After the accommodation ladder was rigged up the third officer and a duty sailor began to keep the gangway watch. Some other crew went ashore for sightseeing, shopping or phoning home. The stevedores commenced the loading and unloading work. Relatives of some of the crew came on board to enjoy a family reunion. At 11:00, some other people boarded the vessel, and the duty officer went to greet them.Answer the following questions 1. There are three ways to express the vessels LOA and breadth, what are they?2. Some people have wide and various interests while others have narrow, limited interests.A hobby is an activity which one enjoys doing in his/her free time, such as collecting stamps or playing a musical instrument, etc. Both interests and hobbies can help us enjoy our lives and relax after a days hard work.When working on board, the crewmembers seldom have time for the things that they are interested in, like going to movies and playing football. But it is favorable for them to do some of other interesting things, like reading, fishing, photography, playing chess, etc. If you are interested in reading, you may go to find some books and magazines you like. When your vessel is at a foreign port, you can also buy some magazines there and enjoy another kind of culture and art. If you have the hobby of fishing, to be a seaman is good, I should say.
